If you want to find out what Easter does not mean, just spend some time watching or reading the news. All of the negative and depressing news you see or read is not a sign that there is new life to be found in our world. No, Easter will not be found during the nightly newscast.

We find Easter where we find men and women alive with love for neighbours, near and afar. We find Easter when we see people caring for each other in all of the difficulties that life can bring. We find Easter when we see parents taking care of their children, even though it means giving up so much, so often. Whenever you and I bring some genuine life to another person, we are helping
people to believe in the new life that Jesus offers through the earth-shattering event we call the
Resurrection.
