The following lists of projects are ones that we could use parishioner help on in more ways that one. Take a look and see if you can either volunteer your labor, material, or help with project management.  If you have any questions or would like to leave your name, please phone me ( Russ Tocker, Building and Gounds Committee Chair, 525-1967, or leave a message at the parish office).

Things To Do for Parish Volunteers

Ø Replace fence at back of church.  Remove old boards and nailing rail from frame and replace.  The fence has a metal frame that the nailing rail gets screwed onto and then the fence boards are nailed to that.  The new fence board would need to be painted (stained) to finish.
Ø Re-build the wood, grey painted, door ramps at the Douglas Avenue doors and Gerein Centre entrance.  These ramps are there to alleviate the curb at the doors for our parishioners who use assistance to get around.  We have been painting these with a non-slip coating.  It is time to look at the condition they are in and to ensure they are safe.
Ø Re-paint handrails at Douglas Avenue entrance and ramp railing as well.  The light standard by Gerein Centre entrance could use re-painting as well.  This could either be done with a brush or sprayed black.

Capital Projects (these are major and need estimates, planning and money)

Ø Replace tile in Gerein Centre entrance.
Ø Re-finish or replace top flashing on church and offices.  This could be re-painting or covering over what is there, with another product.
Ø Paint interior of church and Gerein Centre.
Ø Paint office area, upstairs and downstairs.
Ø Re-design and replace Douglas Avenue entrance concrete sidewalks, complete with landscaping.
Ø Pursue ideas to clean the ceiling inside the church.
