Holy Cross Parish was established in 1959. We are engaged in a time of celebration of the founding and building of our community that will culminate in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the blessing of our church in November, 2011.
Recognition Awards
The 50th Anniversary Recognition Award is for anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to the parish over the years. It is not a competition but a way to celebrate the treasures hidden in our community.
Nomination forms are available at the church entrances or on the parish web site www.holycrossregina.ca (click on the Forms button or use this direct link). Please include a brief (200 word) explanation for the nomination. Submit completed forms to the 50th Anniversary committee at the parish office or by e-mail to holycrosschurch@sasktel.net
Parish 50th Anniversary History
The 50th Anniversary Committee is presently gathering information for a Holy Cross Parish 50th Anniversary History book and invite you to contribute your stories, photos and memorabilia. The information could include parish events, sacrament celebrations, parish development, etc. Please use a submission form to accompany your submission.
Also, the committee would like to recognize founding members of the parish and would be grateful to anyone who can supply names of families who were a part of this community in the years 1959-1961.
Work will be done on the book over the summer. Your submissions are requested. If you are able to submit your items electronically, please do so by email to: kryzanowskisk@yahoo.ca

The latest on the History Book
The history project is well under way. Thanks again to all who have contributed material for it.
The estimated cost of publishing 600 copies of a 100 page book is $12,000.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to offset publication costs may do so by placing your contribution in an envelope marked “History Book.” Donors who make a contribution before Sept. 30th will be acknowledged in the book.
The list of names of those who were part of the parish in 1959-61 when the church was being built, and who are still with us, is growing. A copy is posted in the Gerein Centre and at the main entrance. Please add any names that should be included or make corrections as needed.
